Berlin (ots) – Der Lebensmittelverband Deutschland sieht mit Blick auf die heute vom Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband (vzbv) vorgestellte Studie zur Aufmachung und Kennzeichnung von Fleischersatzprodukten vor allem die Notwendigkeit mehr Aufklärungsarbeit zu leisten und auf EU-Ebene eine europaweit einheitliche und rechtsverbindliche Definition festzulegen.
Bereits 2015 hat sich der Lebensmittelverband gemeinsam mit dem deutschen Vegetarierbund (jetzt ProVeg) auf ein gemeinsames Verständnis von vegetarischen und veganen Lebensmitteln hinsichtlich der verwendeten Zutaten und entsprechender Definitionen verständigt. Diese wurden von den europäischen Verbänden als Grundlage für das gemeinsame Bemühen um eine Verankerung im europäischen Recht aufgenommen, die bislang leider noch nicht erfolgt ist. Die gemeinsamen Definitionen bilden aber heute schon die Beurteilung für die Lebensmittelüberwachungsbehörden der Bundesländer und geben insoweit eine gute Orientierung.
Dr. Marcus Girnau, stellvertretender Hauptgeschäftsführer, erklärt: „Immer mehr Menschen greifen zu pflanzlichen oder vegetarischen Ersatzprodukten. Vor allem die Gruppe der Flexitarier, die die Lebensmittelvielfalt genießen wollen, wächst. Es ist wichtig, dass niemand durch Bezeichnungen oder Abbildungen auf den Verpackungen in die Irre geführt wird. Nicht zuletzt aufgrund des Fehlens spezifischer Vorschriften hat die Deutsche Lebensmittelbuch-Kommission vor vier Jahren in einem aufwendigen Dialogverfahren, Leitsätze für die Kennzeichnung und Aufmachung veganer und vegetarischer Ersatzprodukte nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen festgelegt. Wir haben allerdings schon damals darauf hingewiesen, dass das abgestufte Kennzeichnungskonzept für Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten erklärungsbedürftig ist und auch die produzierende Wirtschaft vor einige Herausforderungen stellt. So kann auch die ausdrücklich geforderte Benennung der ersetzenden Zutat zu Missverständnissen führen. Die Ergebnisse der vzbv-Befragung bestätigen dies“.
Die Beispiele in der Befragung zeigen, dass die Lebensmittelhersteller gemäß den Leitsätzen auf die Zutat hinweisen, die das tierische Eiweiß ersetzt, wie beispielsweise Erbsen- oder Sojaprotein. Auf alle anderen Zutaten wird, wie in der Lebensmittelinformations-Verordnung festgelegt, im Zutatenverzeichnis für jeden ersichtlich hingewiesen. Dr. Girnau führt aus: „Einer falschen Erwartungshaltung der Käuferinnen und Käufer kann nur mit Aufklärung und Information darüber, wie sich Ersatzprodukte generell zusammensetzen und wie es gelingt, dass sie sensorisch, optisch und geschmacklich ans Original herankommen, vorgebeugt werden. Nicht allein die Menge einer Zutat, sondern vor allem die sensorische Gesamtkomposition spielt eine wichtige Rolle für die Akzeptanz des Produktes. Jedem muss klar sein, dass Ersatzprodukte gezielt entwickelte und komplex zusammengesetzte Verarbeitungsprodukte darstellen, über deren Zusammensetzung die Zutatenliste genaue Auskunft gibt.“

Mr B attempted to sell the property without Ms L’s knowledge.
As our client was not the registered owner of
the property and there was no written agreement between the parties, her
consent was not required. Ms L instructed our solicitors,

Mr B had received a discount and car parking space, and this was our client’s contribution. Considering all
of the above, it would be unjust for our client not to receive anything from the sale and be left to start over with no interest and no payment of
her interest in the property. Our solicitors sent a without-prejudice offer, proposing the
payment to be made to our client in an attempt to settle the matter quickly and without
either party incurring further legal costs. After some negotiation, the parties
reached a settlement and a settlement deed was drawn up between the parties’
solicitors. The sale of the property had proceeded, and therefore funds were available to pay our client the
settlement sums agreed immediately and without the need
for court proceedings.
